SC-501
Colour or white seal coat
Pigmented sub-coat where the seal layer also has to cover the core.
Application
Colour or white seal coat for cores that need covering as well as sealing, so the finishing film coat can be applied at a lower build-up.
How it runs
Covers as well as seals, so the finishing film coat can be applied at a lower build-up. It earns its place on dark or mottled cores that would otherwise need a heavy white film to hide.
Build-up and solids are fixed at trial.

Common questions about SC-501
When is a coloured seal coat better than a transparent one?
On dark or mottled cores. SC-501 covers as well as seals, so the finishing film coat can then be applied at a lower build-up instead of carrying all the covering work itself.
